I really enjoyed reading the articles on internet safely and completely agree with what they said. I have seen how dangerous the internet can be and how tricky it can be to navigate it safely. I love what the articles say about internet safety specifically within the home such as with filtering, keeping the computer in a well-used room, and establishing family rules. I think establishing family rules is very important.
Something that can often be neglected is reminding our family why we establish family rules about the internet. Simply making rules may peak curiosity and could then lead to seeking out what the internet holds. If we remember to explain to our family that the intent of the rules is to keep our family safe then I think we can mitigate some of that potential curiosity.
Overall, family rules should be set regarding the internet in the home and there should be a description of the purpose for the imposed rules.
